Something I never really got the hang of when I was assembling the reef in my marine tank. The rock formations never looked quite right. Still, I miss that tank.

I always wanted to switch over to salt but I found out most of the family's aquarium supplies were sold off to buy our old Ram.
Welp, time to start over fresh!

It can be kept fairly cheap if you shop around. I had a 3 foot tank with metal hallide light, a canister filter, UV filter and a small protein skimmer. Cost me less than £200 all told including a bag of salt, a lot of stuff was free from people who were upgrading. Getting RO water can be a pain if you don't know someone who filters their own though.
